Frequently asked questions

Which trading platform do most SE-Asian traders use?

MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is the most widely supported platform in retail forex globally and across SE Asia — most international brokers offer it, and it is the platform most first-time traders encounter first. MT5 is the newer alternative with more features. cTrader and TradingView are popular among more experienced and active traders but offered by fewer brokers.

Does the platform affect my swap-free (bebas swap) account?

No. Swap-free (bebas swap) treatment is applied at the account level by the broker — it follows your account whether you log in via MT4, MT5, cTrader or TradingView. The platform is the interface; Islamic-account terms are set by the broker. Confirm swap-free terms and fee structure directly with your broker, as some accounts replace overnight interest with a fixed 'administration fee' that reintroduces riba.

Do I need to choose a broker based on the platform?

For most SE-Asian traders, no — the vast majority of brokers on the Bayan FX shortlist support MT4 and MT5. The more important choice is selecting a broker whose specific entity is verifiable on a real regulator register and whose account terms (including swap-free conditions) match your needs. Platform is a secondary, often reversible decision.
